Default just did the 60k service

I just had my mechanic perform the 60 k service on my GS300. i cleared with my lexus service dept and they said as long as everything is documented, it wont affect my CPO warranty status.

The 'stealer' wanted $1200......my mechanic charged me $330

Not too shabby if ya ask me!!

Yeah man. You can repay your mechanic by giving out his number to us.

Hey Fellas,

Here is the info.
Shop:
Auto B Haven
659 Sunrise Hwy
West Babylon 11704 (Long Island)

If you go there, ask for Phil...tell him that Rob sent you.

Heres what he did:
*Oil/Lube/Filter

*checked brakes, ball joints, body/frame, drive belt, drive propeller shaft, exhuast system, fuel delivery, air induction, steering gear. Replaced air filter, cabin air filter, coolant, S/T Fluid, Diff Fluid, oil filter, Oil, and Spark plugs

*RWD Differential service

*Tune up...changed plugs

*Cooling system service

*Tranny Service

*Tire rotation

I also had him do the NYS inspection because mine had just expired.

Hope this helps......

Rob

I did this exact same thing 40K miles ago. I paid my local guy $250, but I bought the plugs, oil filter, etc., from Steve at Carson. I was in no way going to pay that kind of money to the dealer for all of those "inspections".

Now, I did go to Lexus for the 90K service, but that was only because of the timing belt. Everyone was giving me prices of around $800, I figured it was worth $200 more to pay Lexus and get a loaner car for the day...
