yes, ivan, lets trade.....hahah j/k. i'm still debating between the 2 equally fun cars. i've nvr driven a gs but based on what i've read and my driving impressions of my 5er, its hard to imagine another sedan that can outhandle it (stock vs stock) except its older bros-540 & ///M5-mostly due to the 50/50 weight dist. what's the weight dist. on the gs4? right now, i'm just keeping an eye out for a reasonably priced white or blk gs4. i know once i test drive the 8 cyl..i probably won't be able to go back to an i-6. thanks for all the input and you'll be the 1st to hear if i've jump camps.

reliability is my biggest concern, also the power of the v8 isn't bad either. i was just checking out the other posts and i didn't realize how hard it was to find a good low mileage gs4 for a reasonable price $25-30k. i'll be patient and hope for the best.

A few more cents...
I went from a '00 528i w/ sport package to an '03 GS430, with a year of '99 911 Cab in between. The Bimmer handled incredibly well, so balance with predictable oversteer (fun!). The only problem was that is was so PAINFULLY SLOW! It had a five speed tranny even. If you think that your Bimmer doesn't lack power you should test drive anything V-8. I love my GS but of course I can't keep a car longer than 18 months! Why don't you drive a new one- performance is mostly the same between 400 and 430. Good luck my friend.

I have a 99 GS400 with every option except Navigation. Mileage is in the upper 60's, all original paint, I can let it go for $19,500. Get rid of your Bimmer, take a one way flight here and drive it back. I'll split it with you. You get my factory chrome 17's and a set of factory 16's with tires for the winter.
