Default Minor Mod- Tinted Windows (The cell-cam bandit strikes again!!)

Happy New Years guys/galz!

Since I purchased this car in November, I have been trying to keep the monthly mods going, so the first installment of the New Year is tinted windows. Although it is a really minor mod, it brings out a different look in the car. For some reason, this car ALWAYS looked plain to me even with the 20" wheels on it, well it was the clear windows that were doing it!
Now it is starting to take on the smooth and clean look that I was missing from my 1st Gen!!

The tint is SolarFilm (or some name like that):

35% on all of the door windows
20% on the large rear window

For some reason it looks really dark in these pics, but its really not, you can still see inside the car, it just has a 'smoked' look ot it. I got it done by the on-site tinter at a Limosine builders shop, and he did a GREAT job, i.e. the whole rear window is 1pc of film, not the 3-4 pieces like my 96 was

Heres a few of my trademark cell-cam pics!

Looks really nice. Was it computer cut? My car came with the super-duper-ultra-light-almost-not-even-there factory tint. I have to take that off first then I might get the same way you got. Very nice.

Thanks Ripe, it was cut by hand, but the guy was a pro!! I guess tinting those mile long windows in limosines makes regular cars a breeze!

Since your from Queens, you probably know the limo shop, its the one on Atlantic and 120th street. If your headed towards the Van Wyck, its on you left. The guys name is Anthony and he gave me lifetime warranty as well. if you want I'll get you his number.

You must have been in La-La land when I called last night, because I told you then!! LOL

I think a lite tint will look good on the PDW, maybe 35% all the way around? Since you take lots of trips down to NYC, you can go to the same guy, he's easy to get to off the Whitestone bridge

Yes that could be an option. Also we gotta go see that new shop in Long Island when the weather gets better.
I think I am going to do the tint just not too dark. It looks real nice on the tan D I really like it. Wait till the spring just wait.

nice tint. is tinting in the front illegal from where u at??? I hate not being able to tint the front. it looks undone. and my eyes hurt in an untinted car. I have full faced dark tint on the windshield, and all around on my car and i still drive with dark shades.
