Joel 5150 is your car millenium silver? How much drilling did you have to do? Would it still be possible the put on a front license plate if you had to? Thanks

Yes it is the millenium silver. I just had to make the holes a little bigger, and I also took a razor blade and removed any protruding plastic from the bumber before installing so that the plugs would be as flush as possible. I think you could easily remove them if need be.

Or, because you don't like the way the front plates look, you're just going to take your chances without a front plate and hope you don't get caught? Or you live in CT but can legally register your car somewhere else? Sorry to sound like I'm in a fog here, but I'm having a hard time folowing this, and I'm interested to see what can be done in other stares with dual-license-plate requirements.

So you're going to mount the front license plate somewhere else, or keep it inside the car? Or does CT grant waivers to the front license requirement?

I ordered the Arctic Silver Metallic plugs from www.bumperplugs.com
Shipping was very fast, and they were really great to deal with.

When I purchased my car last year, it came with a black plastic license mount for the license plate. I have always kept a plate mounted at that location. I've seen lots of cars here in CT that don't have a front license plate, even though the law clearly states that 2 plates are required. Although I'd like to have nothing mounted on the bumper, I'm not going to take that chance

By the way, when you get your front plates on, consider a clear (or very light-tinted) plastic license-plate cover. They cost only a few bucks and go a GREAT job...although you have to take them off at least once a year to change the license or year sticker. I wouldn't have a car without it.

Cost me $58.85 for two pairs.
Takes a 1/4 inch hole. I'm sure I could have found 4 standard black plugs and spray painted them for a heck of a lot less money.
