Default How did you guys get rid of those front lisence plate holes?

I just recently bought my 2000 GS300 PS and sure enough it has the front lisence plate holes in the bumper. I cant stand when the car compnay puts the hole in the bumper and doesnt give you the option to take it off w/o leaving a mark. But i have noticed that alot of you dont have these holes tell me how to take care of this problem or it looks like i will just have to have them filled and have it repainted when i install the TTE front lip.

Thanks

Default Holes in your front bumper

Yeah, I have the same problem. They anly way to fix it is to fill and paint them, or get a new front bumper.

I took a black plastic cap and installed them into the bumper. They are small and black, and kind of look like the parking distance sensors, but I have none on hte back. Looks kind of lame.

Good luck, and post some pics once you get your lip. I am thinking of investing in a TTE also.

The car doesn't come with holes. There's tiny indentations on the front of my bumper where I would attach a license plate if I wanted or had to. But if a plate has been attached the only way to get rid of the holes is to fill and paint.

We also dont need the front plate here so most of the GS' that originated here will not have the holes....

Default Bumper plugs

I just email the company to see if they offer anything that will fit the Lexus. It would be great for their business, and I know there are quite a few owners here that would jump on a product like this.

Default Here come the plugs!

Ok, I have been emailing Eric Sklut at bumperplugs and he was very helpful. I know it isn't like the sacrifice some here on CL have made to get us mods and information ( Romini and the Blackwood experiment/investment ) but I have ordeded the bumper plugs and also the door plugs to see if they will fit.

Once I get the items I will let you know how things turn out, and post pics.

Can't wait!

Ok,
Got them Friday afternoon, but was so busy this weekend I wasn't able to get them on. I did got out when I first got them to see about fitment. I ill have to drill the holes out a bit first, but not an issue. I also got the key slot covers for the doors. It looks like I will have to modify those to fit the key slot, but I will post pics of both as soon as I get them in. Hopefully tonight. Oh, and the color match for silver is pretty darn close!

Thanks,

Joel
