i agree about the arm rest it has really got me spoiled. i sat in an acura tl and really noticed the difference. i just think my old 95 camry xle v6 had seats that felt better. i don't mean to offend anyone i know the gs is comfy and maybe it is only me or it might be my particular car, i bought it used with 46k on it and i can tell the previous owner wasn't gentle on the seat as the right side front stiching had been repaired. maybe he was a real heavyweight and compressed the seats cushion somehow. thanks for the input and i might try a thin cushy pad under my @ss.

Something I've noticed--check the seat bottom tilt angle. During a trip to Idaho, my rear end was hurting (well, more like lower, lower back), and I adjusted the tilt of the lower seat cusion to a flatter setting (closer to parallel to the floor of the car, slight tilt in the front), and it alleviated what seemed like pressure on my lower back. A small adjustment, but it's nonetheless programmed in to the car's #1 memory!

does anyone know how much, or if replacement seats are available, and if so is it difficult to change.

Maybe if you have a speed shop that does custom interiors, you could go to them, and just have their upholstery guy open up your seat and add new padding (or whatever is in there)

ive never seen a thread being this long about butt hurting on seats...hehe
but yeah, anyways the seats I think are pretty comfortable, but if youve ever been in an accident or had spinal unalignment like I have, the seats can get pretty uncomfortable, psyiactic pains are most common and can make one butt cheek hurt and even cause numbness down that particular side leg...
get checked out dood....might be a good route first before getting any gimmicky invention that will make ur driving experience better...

Hey Ivan
The seats in the GS are very soft and for some this can be uncomfortable in long drives. Many people complain about German seats being too hard, but it is all about preference. Sort of like a mattress - for some, too soft hurts, for others too hard hurts. I do two hour drives in my GS all the time - I don't feel so hot afterwards however.
