Default New to the site... few questions...

Hey guys... after browsing the site for a while I finally decided to register. Anyways, I am in the market for a 4 door car and have been looking at a GS series lately. I was set on a 400 but should I get a used 430 instead? Which is better, any things to look out for? I am not going to go all out with mods (lol) have too much into a Saleen... just want a nice car with some 19"s and maybe a l tuned suspension? I have been searching the site but I am a noob with Lexus... Have had 3 stangs and now with a new job, need to get another car. Please help me out... should be buying in the next month.

Also, when did the Navigation start? Any years have really good optons over others? Thanks.

No HP difference between the 400 (98-00) and 430(01-04), both are great engines.
Navigation is available on all years, but is hard to find a used 98-00 with one.
Every year has the same options. Some major changes between 98-00 and 01-04 include: addition of wood steering wheel, no Eshift on 430, minor changes to grille and taillights.

If i were you, i would just try to find a GS that is clean and has all the options u want for the right $$$$$. 400 or 430 shouldnt make a difference. 300 or 400, 430 is another story.

I've read quite a bit of complaints about the GS430's throttle response compared with the GS400's. Try test driving both and see how they feel to you.

Navigation system is available from 98 on. GS400 is hard-drive based and GS430 is DVD based. Mark Levinson audio is newly optional on GS430, replacing Nakamichi as the premium sound system.
