OOOK..SO I am selling the GS4 and took it to CARMAX since the MR-2 Spyder I want to buy for my wife's b-day is at CARMAX also..
The made me a very decent offer (IMHO)..may be cause I am buying the Spyder...
They offered 28,750 Plus full refund of my extended warranty 1499..that pays off my loan and puts a few buck back in my pocket...not bad for a NO HASSTLE buy....PLUS I get to pay no sales tax (almost 479) on the spyder
Car is 2000 GS4 with 39K..Platinum edition...
What do you guys think..

Almost 29K plus a full refund plus no tax on the Spyder?
Take it and run... That is a awesome deal.. that's 30K almost... and the GS isn't getting greater depreciation anytime soon for it to go up.
It is only going to go down once the new GS debuts next year. If your looking to get rid of it, then sell now.

Is it only in your state, that if you trade in your car you do not have to pay tax on the new car ?
I'm in CA, when I trade in my car for the GS I still pay tax on it

The no-sales tax incentive is CARMAX specific.. I dont know if other dealers do the same..
Dont think its my state only...
I agree with captain bone..it IS a good deal for a trade in ..Unless someone offers me more money in teh next 2 weeks..
(car in paper) I am goign to trade the car in carmax...

I would do it if you are considering gettin rid of your GS anyway. I just bought an 01 300 and seen 2000 Plantinum edition 400's for that price and a couple grand less with similar miles.....

The MR-2 is a great buy as well..They had a "last -chance" deal on a red one in Chicago...
2001 with 22K for 15,499. That is a great deal..There were some errors about the standard equipment on the car on their website , I ordered the car to be transfered..then found that some info wasnt right..talked to the manager and he took off the 450 transfer fee..
So all in all its almost too good to be true..I will believe it when it happens, but for now it sounds like a good deal both ways...
I know its middle of winter and that is why I was able to get a good deal on the MR-2.
.
Almost all other 2001 MR-2s on their site are 17000 or more ..atleast the ones with 25K or less...
