I thought about it when I bought my GS last month, but decided to go against it. It's totally older than the image I want to give. Plus I love my GS too much. Maybe in a few years when it's time settle down a bit more. I love the LS, but it just screams Grandma and Grandpa......

maybe it's just me.

I love them though.

if i do it, it would be 04 ls430, nothing less. the 03 is slow and the throttle response is bad. the 04 is a beast and it has all the cool gadges

I was thinking about that last night when I was looking on the Lexus website. The '04 is almost as fast or same as the GS's - '04 LS430 0-60 mph is 5.9 secs - Now thats what I am talking about and full of luxuorious amenities, 6 speed Trans. Looks better and more classy than the New GS.. It would be a good replacement but I don't need one right now. My GS is paid for and only 37K miles.

koreanpers, yes I have. SImply that no one here really has a done up 430....It exudes elegance. I love the interior, being I am 6"5, the extra room is good. I would HAVE to mod it right away. Stock, me no likey...

The 04, I could rock stock with the 18" 5 spokes. Hot car inside out.

I second that. I have to go with the 04, but too much $ for me or may be a used 01 UL is nice. Then do the VIP kit...
Seriously, the LS430 can be a head turner with some right touch.

My previous Lexus was a LS so I am in no hurry to get back to a LS. LS is nice but I still like the styling of GS at this time.

Do you realize how many girls you can fit in an '04 LS 430 Mike? I will let you know in a few weeks or so...lol! Just kidding. Anyhow, I was looking at buying a GS 430 or LS. I still love the GS design, even though it is a bit dated.

Default Move Up

I am currently thinking seriously about making the move up to the '04 LS but could be fine getting into a certified '01/02 if I can find one at a good price. I've enjoyed my '98 GS tremendously but getting to a point where I'd like the extra room and more luxury. Plus kids in teenage years are finding the back seat a little tight on trips.

I like the updates in looks and features of the 04 LS430, but still it looks too boxy for my taste. Other than that, it's a superior large sedan than many of the more pricey alternatives, and the best overall car by Lexus to date. I really don't need a large sedan in the near future, but is looking forward to the next LS for 07.

I test drove an '01 LS430 with the Ultra-Luxury package. It had the adjustable suspension. Even on Sport, it still felt floaty. Also, the styling was a major yawn for me. Just my opinion.

The '04 LS is a big step up in looks, especially with the 18" rims, and is faster... but straight-line acceleration is only part of the driving equation. It's nice to be able to take the turns as well.

yes with the new redesign i would have to choose the new 04. the LED tail lights gives a much more luxurious look while also giving a sporty look. the new 6 spd tranny. i dont know what its called but u can start the car without putting the key in it , i wonder what lexus calls this. theres a lot of new goodies in the 04 if im not mistaken didnt they put projector headlights in now?

Yea, i really like the new 04 too it would be great w/ 20" rims... i think that in 3 years...the 04 will be perfect. Our gs only has 42000 miles..so we wont sell our car anytime soon. Just curious if others were thinking about it

I have wanted a mercedes s class for a while..but they dont have a great repair record. my friend has the 2000 s-classs..and has had no problems at all. But now, i am starting to really like the LS more. It is more reliable..has same great features, and costs less

When the 04 LS debuted, I said that would be my GS replacement when the rime came. Coilovers and 20s are like same week mods for that car, ie, you have to put them on the same week you buy the car!! LOL

nah, with the 18s and sport package, maybe 2 weeks!

They are beautiful cars and the interiors are very luxurious!
