Question Mileage

I have a 1999 gs300 currently with 90,000 miles on it. If properly maintained how many miles can I expect to get out of my GS?

I used to have an Oldsmobile that was properly maintained, bought used at 77K miles and it lasted me 200k miles. So, if you maintain your Lex. well, you can probably give it to your kids when they go to college.

Over 400K if properly maintained.

I have a es300 with 203,000 miles and I don't have any problems. I just came back from NC and I had a great trip, so I say these lexus cars will run as long as you take care of them.

I heard that Cerritos Lexus here in California got a super clean 90 or 91 LS is their show room showing over 600K(org. motor from what I heard). Now that's Lexus reliability!!

Most of todays 6 and 8 cylinder cars will take you past 200K if you maintain them properly. A Lexus V-8 or I6 or V6 have been known to last WELL past 200K with no motor problems. You will have some small issues along the way, but not mechanical issues. To put it into perspective, I have a 89 Honda Accord that I use to drive back and forth to work. It has 272K on a 4 cylinder engine and it doesn't even burn oil. If you can run a 4 cylinder that long, then think what you're going to get out of a Lexus 6 or 8 cylinder motor.

Yeah these cars are very sturdy! This guy was trying to race a 98 GS400 with this car

He had it floored, I barely even touched the gas!! LOL

Seriously though, if maintained, these cars will last forever (almost)

My best bud has an LS that he bought used with 22k on it 12 years ago. Over 300k on it now, still going strong, motor's untouched and still not burning oil. His son (5 at the time of purchase) is now driving it to school.

He (Dad) isn't esp finicky on maintainence but he is a regular oil changer. By all reports, the I6 motor is at least as durable as the V8. So, keeeeeeeeeeeeeep on driving.
