Im trying to find out if getting spoilers and body kits is hard to match the lexus factory paint? I have a diamond white pearl GS, heard that is a pain in the butt to color match, Also what is the average price range for a roof spoiler and rear lip spoiler painted??? thanks, Lettuce

white is one of the hardest to match. actually lexus cars are hard to match coz' of all the pearl. you need a very good body shop otherwise after it's all said and done, from certain angle you see the difference. the body shop where i got my car repainted (pretty much the full driver side coz' of the hit), you won't be able to tell the difrerence at all. that's experience in color matching

I've actually gone through this before. As it was explain to me, DWP is a 3-stage paint with the middle stage being the pearl, which is a translucent material that with every coat leaves a tint. So not only does the white base coat needs to be a perfect match(which that in self is hard to do since white is so sensitive when getting mixed). But the 2nd stage need to be perfectly applied with the same number of coats as what it's trying to get matched to. The bodyshop that I went to got it really close, even though a lot of people can't tell, I can from certain angles.

Good Luck

. DWP and the new moonlight pearl are EXTREMELY difficult to match... ive some expensive pi$$-poor jobs and some damn good ones as well.... doing a kit is a lot more difficult than blending into a panel.... ANY 3 stage paint is gonna be tough, though man. i almost dont wanna think about how my cinnabar baby gonna look when i get it back from the body shop
