Default Top ten list for highest HP GS' on CL.

While I'm sitting here contimplating which road to take to get more HP out of my GS, I started wondering who has the highest HP GS' out there in the world of Club Lexus....documented RWHP!

I know there are...what, 4 TT's running around the country...so they should definitely be at the top of the list. How bout all of you high HP guys throw some numbers out there and we make a top 10 list. I want to see where I sit in the mix of things.

Syph, did you ever install the SRT turbo on your whip. i seem to remember that you had pictures of it (at the very least the pic of the money to get it). whats the deal? its weird that there are a ton of SRT boosted IS' running around and yet i have yet to see ONE GS300..........

I cant tell you how many times I thought about selling the GS4 to get a GS3, just for the ease of slapping a turbo on it. In comparison to the GS4 options, it is cheap to get a GS3 into some high HP numbers. Im still contimplating it...even as I continue to spend more and more money on my car!

Like you, I find it hard to believe also. Alot of people will drop 5 or 6 grand on some wheels, but not a little more for a turbo kit.

I really want to get that turbo from SRT, but I dont know anyone to install it here on Guam. I was wondering if it is pretty hard to do (with some experience tinkering with the engine). I wanted to do a stageII turbo, but depending on whether the car still rides right after they fix my car after this recent accident.

Hei jon (jtanoyo), I see a STB on your sig... is that from a GS4 or on your VE? I want to get one of those things on my GS3. heard the STB wont clear the NA jzs160/1??

Hmm....I don't think the TRD STB would clear a JZS160 because you guys have that funny intake plenum thingie that sticks above your engine.....

I fall into this category. I would love to put on a supercharger on my GS, but won't because it would cost waaaay more than a couple of grand simply because I can't accept the one major negative aspect of supercharging an engine - reduced life expectancy of the engine. Ofcourse in order to remedy that you would need to spend a ton more cash upgrading the internals of the engine and tranny.

IMHO, that effectively takes it off my 'mod list'.

For those that know where I am coming from, I don't ever intend to sell my GS. It will be passed on to my son(s) when I die. So life expectancy of the engine is extremely important to me.

Flash how does your tranny handle this power?? Or do you have an aftermarket Tranny? That is the only thing that would hold me back from selling my S/C and going with a TT setup.

Hameed, I hear ya man, I was going to FI a SC300 and it is not a open and shut type mod like wheels or suspension, it takes time, tuning, and more tuning!! LOL That being said I think if the power is kept moderate(350rwhp range), the tuning is good, and you stay on top of it from a maintenence standpoint, they can be really reliable!

These are things that I compiled during my car search!

Also the thought of a 350-400rwhp GS is just a every nice thought IMO!

If I didnt have the attention span of a 2yr old when it comes to cars, I could keep my car forever, but I'm already modding a 04 LS430 in my head!! LOL Not to mention the G35 to go with it!

BTW last week I had my car on the dyno and they could not get past 4500RPMS on the DYNO becuase the rear wheels were spinning. The company that did it is www.ktrperformance.com and they are Porsche/Audi specialist. there DYNO is called DYNO Dynamics it's an allwheel drive dyno from Australia. Anyway my car reached 319RWHP and 392TQ.

The head tech said that proper tuning and a smaller pulley the car should put down about 400RWHP and close to 420TQ. I am taking her back in 2 weeks with the porsche and am hoping to acheive these #'s...the Porsche is another story ...The DYNO is awesome to say the least...also considering it was my first time ever seeing a car on a DYNO it was Awesome...

jcramair my tranny has been built with raybestos blue plate clutches and new steels. I also
have a PI torque convertor; stall@2800rpm's. Ihave the new SRT valve body upgrade which
has finally solved the shifting problem. I'd say It's 97% there. Keep in mind this is all valve body.
With a little tweaking from the electronics, which will happen shortly, I'll soon be able to down
the track a WOT. Last year I had to throttle it down the track and I still ran 12.8 in the 1/4
