Default GS Tail Lights

Ok, so I did some forum searching and found somewhat of an answer to this question...but I wanted to post to make sure.

I have 98 GS4 and have a buncha stuff going on the car int he spring....they make good living room decorations in my apartment right now.... hehe

Are these the options i have for tailights:

1- Clearing my 98 Tails
2- Getting 01+ Tails
3- Getting 01+ Tails and Clearing them
4- Junctions.....haha yeahhhhhh

I just wanted to check and see if there have been any BREAKTHOUGHS in GS tail light technology

Also, whats the best place to get the 01+ tails and harness these days?

Thanks guys, and sorry for the boring post.

Best place bar none is Carson Toyota. Send a PM to SUPRATRD - that's Steve Ganz. Other than Steve Ganz, I think Rominl would be a good bet too.

Yeah like Hameed said Steve, he has them for $310.00 shipped thats your best bet. Dont bother trying to clear your 2001 tails youll just break them IT CANT BE DONE. JP tails are laser cut.

before you attempt this option

3- Getting 01+ Tails and Clearing them
I would suggest doing a search as some have tried this and ruined the lights or not have it look the way they thought.

Steve @ Carson Toyota.....the only name you need....

Exactly.

2nd confirmation by NorCal members - We tried to clear a "01" tail once upon a time. We pretty much confirmed that you have to have cut the amber cut out using a laser and then have a custom made, perfectly fitting clear piece inserted in place. That's what we heard JP does, which explains one of the reasons why JP charges so much.

Atleast we tested this on a tail light that was already broken during shipping and paid for by insurance.
