I have just put on Intrax swaybars that I bought from RMM 3-4 weeks ago. Yesterday I had my car at a Lexus dealership checking out some noise that I was hearing and lo and behold my rear Intrax swaybars broke the OEM rods that are connected to them.

The left-sided rod is cleanly broke and the right-sided rod is bent at an angle. These are the rods that connect to the swaybars.

Now who do I complain to? RMM who sold me the bars or Intrax who made them (anyone have their number)? This is not right, should be fixed and any flaws rectify.

Now if the OEM rods are the weak link replacing them with the Intrax swaybars will not help, they will just break again. Has any one have experience on getting these custom made at a CNC shop?

Thanks,

Hey man...slow down...ENERGY suspension sells them I just read in an add that all you need is to measure the length of the connecting rods and buy the correct ones. You also get polyurethane bushings and a great energy suspension reputation...no more broken rods.

Now don't you think I deserve a beer...cold one please!

Sorry to hear about the broken OEM rods! Why did you go with Intrax instead of TRD, by the way?

Thanks,

They are adjustable front and back which I needed to fine tune my car cornering ability.

Maybe this adjustment over-stressed the stock OEM connecting rod?

Sounds like maybe those energy parts referenced might be worth a look.
