Dgot: Why do Jpec cars like to have their rims stick out further than the tire ??? Ive seen a couple other cars like that... where the lip of rim is wider than the tire ???

Careful on those copies, sometimes it's more of a headache than what it's worth. But since it's your friend I guess you know about his products. Good luck on what ever sides you choose and post pics when your car gets done.

That car is not a Jcpec soarer, its a guy that was on here a long time ago, from Hawaii. I dont know why they stretch the tire like that! The only thing I can think of is it allows you to run a wider wheel and still drop like crazy!! like a 9.5 on a 245 tire or something like that!

I think Japanese tuners have an infatuation with having the biggest lip on their cars as possible. And to do that they extend the edge of the wheel to the edge of the wheel wells. To have the tires as wide as the wheel would cause it to rub, but with smaller tires they can run the car with the tires tucking inside the wheel wells.

The reason I wont go with a replica is because to acheive that low price, quality, durability or construction will be compromised. Wyh pay money to do something twice....do it right the first time....

i think the l-tuned or replica explosion skirts would match up fine...r u going 2 slam the car really low?
cus like rom said the l-tuned and rmm sides r poly and the replics explosion is fiberglass which is more inducent 2 cracking..............

as far as getting the replica cus its cheaper, i think u should get what u want 4 u'r car ...fake or not..if u'r freinds r makeing it and u know they r makeing it right than go 4 it.....if its something that u know isn't going 2 last long than like letsride said do it right the 1st time around....but than $3k as opposed 2 $400 4 the whole kit!u could make many mistakes with that difference in price....good luck

In this case it is not so bad. Even with painting costs, you can damage the kit twice over and still come out ahead. It is just a pain of time to deal with the potential damage issues.

Ya I agree with blue and others, I am also deciding on a kit and the replica explosion has been a thought for sometime. I really like the Veilside executive and Lsportline front but again it is a loooooottt more money, but then again it is prolly a loooooootttt nicer in quality. Either way you go it is up to you and if it looks good and doesn't look sloppy then it is good
By the way pm sent

Yea... I would prefer the real Kits, but there is no way I can afford a 3k body kit.... Could but its just not worth it ...
Where can I get this Veilside Exec kit ??? Ive seen a couple of pics and its looks pretty nice... Any one know of prices for it.. The rear and sides atleast ???

Everytime I get a new picture I get interested ... Godamnit.... Lsportline looks good toO !!!

Think I like the Lsportline sides with Explosion rear will look nice ??? Any options for the Lsportline ?

Steve Ganz for Veilside Exec. A little less than 1200 for sides and rear (all 3 pieces) but this could be old pricing. You should contact Steve, though, for a more accurate quote.

Nope that is the current pricing right under 1200. Real nice look, I am deciding between that or the Explosion just so hard.
