2003 GS430 for 25K?
Hi folks,
Had a question for you GS430 owners.
My sister and her hsuband just picked up a 2003 GS430 with 30,000 miles.
From what I know, its a standard model, with no premium stereo, wheels or navi.
Supposidly no accidents.
I am sure the GS430 is a great car, no question about that but what is kinda disturbing is the dirt cheap 25K she paid for it at a Chevy dealer.
Upon hearing the 25K, I asked my sister if it was a clean title.
To which she responded what is a clean title?
Naturally, Im a little concerned, since the price is low, and they dont know anything about cars.
25K seems a little too low for a 2003 GS430, even for 30,000 miles.
Im sure resale on a car like this is excellent as well, no reason for a dealer to sell it this cheap even if it is end of the month.
What do you guys think?
regards
Ken

Way to cheap, almost sounds to good to be true. I hope they just made a mistake for her sake. The car could easly fetch 35k elswhere. even a la carte it's an expensive car.
If it's clean she got the deal of the year.

Do they have leather seats? Base models do not come with leather seats or a Sun/Moonroof. Also, when I was shopping for a car , I purchased an unlimited carfax for just 20.00. SOmeone should really check the VIN number. It's worth 50.00 to know if the car has a clean and that is, in fact, a GS430.

Thanks for the comments guys.
From speaking with sis, the car does have leather seats and is a GS430 (sis claims she saw the v-8 engine). Carfax and independent mechanic inspection would be a good idea, maybe carfax was run but im sure the car hasnt been inspected yet. Unfortunately, I cant see the car myself since the car is in MA and meez in CA.
Like alot of you guys said on this board, price sounds too good to be true, I feel the same way. Assuming te title is clean, no reason a dealer (not some grandpa) would dump a car at such a low price when they can get at least 7K more.
I might ty to post a pic of it later, make sure the color (some type of blue) was offered for 2003s.
thanks again for the comments.

I don't think that's too crazy, there's this SC430 on ebay that they're gonna sale for 20,000 only about 5000 miles and has a clean title. Would make an excellent investment, buy it and then sale it and make about 15 grand or so.

1) Like Phluid said, is it the "Buy It Now" price? Or is it just the current bid?
2) If it isn't the BIN Price, then how many days are left in auction?
I suspect this is either the current bid or the current list price, and there are more than a few days left in the auction.

What concerns me about this, is that this was done by a dealership in MA. I just can't see a dealer anywhere screwing the person who traded the car in on the receive side AND then passing this savings on to the next buyer. Yes, I could see the receive side, but not passing the savings on part.
Of course there may be more to the story and I hope that whatever you find out about it is good news and not bad.
