98 GS300 shaking at 80mph?
hey whats going on? im new to this site and this site seems like there are a lot of cool people that knows alot about Lexus... but anyways.. my car has about 99K on it. its a 98. i bought this car used and ive put a few thousand miles on it. but what is bothering me is that my car starts to shake a little bit when im going 80mph. its like its riding on small bumps.. has anyone ever experienced this? or knows what the problem might be? PLEASE HELP!

Welcome to the club and ye sI have experienced this. There are so many theories and reasons why we get shake out of our cars it ihas been discussed over and over but some main things is the balancing. If you do a search (your best friend) you will find lots of stuff about this topic! Goodluck and welcome again.

Make sure you go to a place that has good quality / fairly new balancing equipment. There is a specific Hunter machine that you'll find by searching that people have had great luck with fixing this problem.

I think alexus is talking about the very bad wheel alignment that worn out the tires really bad( to the steel belt). Then, you'll need to replace the tires and then balance and then align.
