OK, new development with pictures:
The owner called up Lexus and asked them for a printout of the service history. Lexus read him some dates (7 records with 7 odo readings). He says all 7 seem to be consistent.
However, Lexus is NOT willing to fax the paperwork over to him because it is confidential (or something like that). Lexus wants him to go and pick up the records himself.
2 things:
1 - Seems weird, but "so what" if a stranger has your service records? Doesn't seem too private for me (but I can be wrong).
2 - If he does get the record and if does show that the mileage on the CARFAX is an error, how much should I offer him for this car?
Can I ask for a big favor from everyone???? Please PM me the price they think this car is worth (or the amount you will be willing to pay).....take into account the mileage thing on CARFAX.
Please PM me so that your amount will not influence others. After a week or so, I will post up the prices you guys give me for everyone to see.
