Sorry for the newbie question, but what type and kind of oil/oil filter do you guys use and recommend on your gs? How often do you guys change it? Also what type of gas are you guys pouring? Thanks again for the help.

 

change every 3k miles, .not a bit of trouble out of her (99gs4). can't go wrong in my book

do you guys use 91 octace? mobil 1 synthetic or regular? And what type of oil 10w30 or what? I'm sorry, I tried searching but couldn't find anything.

 

Fram ToughGurad or PureOne oile filter, Mobil 1 oil and premium unleaded. I change the oil and filter every 3-4 thousands miles.

 

Mobil 1, 93 Octane and toyota filter!

 

 

Mobile One Synthetic All the Way! IMHO!

Benefits:
Better protection for the engine (handles heat better)
Better cold startups
Better gas mileage
Change synthetic every 6000 miles instead of 3000 for regular oil

Cons:
Expensive
Once you go synthetic you have to stay with synthetic or use a synthetic blend

Mobil 1 15w-50 (my car is twin turbo, this is better for my car) every 5000km or so.....and I put the best gas that's available in my country (which is not saying much at all.... )

 

Mobil 1 synthetic, (5W-30 I believe) 93 octane gas and a fram X2 filter.

Also replaced at every oil change: air filter. Stock toyota paper filter@ $12 each

 

That makes about 5 of us

5w30 mobile1 full synthetic[if im well off], royal purple full synthetic racing oil [if im rich], or castrol full synthetic [if im cheap] i replace it every 4-5k miles with fram sure grip or if im not lazy i'll pick up a dealership filter BTW the drive to the closest dealership is at least 45mins. not worth the drive for an oil filter IMO
and only cheveron 93 octane gas
