Pete,

Nice job. Did you screw it all the way down? Did you have problem that the chrome part hit the shift gate? Mine is the SD shift **** and I had to do some work to make it fit.

Jacob -

No problems at all installing it....I screwed it down...its tight alright....I have about 1/4" clearance from chrome part to my shift plate when in Park mode.

I can actually screw it down a little more, maybe about a 1/2 turn....NOT a full turn.

Guyz.....Thanks for the compliments!!

Pete
Pete, what is the color of MinWax that you use to stain your ****?

Minwax Polyshade Olde Maple Gloss 0430....be sure to strip it completely....down to bare wood....sand it down w/ various grits. I dipped mines 3 times to get that color.....then dipped in clear polyurethane about 3 more times. The process took about a week to do.

Double check your wood interior with this color....i've seen several shades of burlwood...some look more brown (non-Platinum edition)....while others look more redish....so...be advised....this shade I posted matched my interior color....may NOT match yours.

Looks great!

There is something strangely ironic with you having a heated seat GS in Hawaii.
