Default Carbon Fiber Hood

I was looking at VISracing.com, and noticed they had CF hood for the 98+ GS. Anybody purchased a CF hood from them? I wonder how good is the Quality?

I thought VIS Racing makes the hideous aluminium GT wings and also owns the Koenig brand?

Go Veilside cf hood!

Actually, VIS hoods aren't that bad at all. When I used to own a shop, at first their hoods were pretty crappy. But from what I've seen lately, their hoods are pretty top notch. Been really surprised. Another company that has nice CF hoods is Seibon, but I'm not sure if they have a GS hood.

I think VIS only offers OEM style hoods only. I haven't seen anyone with the hood on, so Im not sure on the fitment. If I was in the market for one I would get the Power Quest, now that is one top notch hood!

Can you paint CF? I'm not much on the look of it but if you could paint it to match then I'd think about it.

Yes it is paintable. I'm not too crazy with the carbon hood, I think the contrast is too much on white. If I had a black or dark silver, I think a carbon hood would be one of my upgrades.

The blue GS was later sold and painted black.

I'd definitely think about it on a black car, but mine's white and there's on way I'd have a black cf hood on my ride. Now if you could paint it to really match, then I'd have to think about it.

quest power carbon fiber hood will run u between $2-$4k...depending on if u want the wet or dry carbon fiber. quite a costly investment.
