Vsc Light On And Abs Light On?
I was installing a spoiler that I bought on my 2000 GS300 yesterday.I had my brother pump the brakes a few times to see if the trunklid light was a brake light. Then I realize the light stop lighting up. After I started the car it would not shift into gears, VSC light was on and the ABS light was on? PLease help. I took of the battery and no luck.

when i had my gs3 i put a bodykit on it, i dropped it off at the bodyshop... im not sure what they did when they had the car but when it was time for me to pick it back up the VSC and the ABS light was on, they said they didnt know what it was it took it to the dealer and they fixed it and told me it was a faulty ABS sensor..... hope that helps you out ...

VSC & ABS Light ON
Same thing happened to me... My lower ball joint gave out, luckily I was just parking. Anyway I disconnected the front wheel speed sensor and now the VSC & ABS Lights are ON...
I did some research and I think I found the solution. Ihave the '99 GS300 Factory Repair Manual on CD and this is how to reset the lights. Apparently the DTC Code has ro be re-set on the ECM.
Go to the DLC1 connector under the hood (that's the connector with "DIAGNOSTIC" marked on top next to one of the Fuse/Relay box.
1- Connect (jump) the terminals marked "Tc" and "E1" (diagram is under cap)
2-Remove the SHORT PIN in the DIAGNOSIC connector
3-Turn ignition ON
4- Pump the BRAKE pedal 8 times within 5 seconds... this will clear the DTC code stored in the ECM
5-Remove the "Jump " wire used and reconnect the Shot Pin.
I will try this this afternoon ... I will report if it works.
I'm including the DIAGNOSTICS DI-412 pdf file from the factory repair manual, hope it helps...

Problems with ABS and VSC
I changed the speed sensor cable, and yet still the ABS, VSC, and VSC off lights are still lit up. I did try to reset the ECU, but to no avail.
Does anybody know how to reset the ABS and VSC without having to go to the dealership.
Thanks
