This has got to be one of the strangest things. I come out to my car today at work and notice that im missing my drivers side fog light... It took me a second to realize it. I got all the way into the car and did a double take at that point. The only thing that was there was the wiring harness, but no connection. the wires were even with no exposed core. I kneel down to look and see if maybe i hit something and it broke and ripped off, but theres not damage whatsoever. The only thing i noticed is that the two screws are missing. which is damn wierd because i have never had a problem with the light before in the past. so the only dedcutin that i can deduce from the situation is either: 1) the bolts were never there, the fog light dropped out hit the ground and ripped off. ( i think i should have heard this happen) or 2) someone stole it. (but why would they only take one???) whatever now im grumpy because i have to buy a new pair. man WTF!??

Seriously I think someone jacked your foglight. My guess is that it's another GS owner who's already missing ONE foglamp so he/she felt only the need to steal one from you. It looks too clean to be an accident. My right foglamp hit a roadkill before and broke off the 2 screws holding it and I drove for a few hours with the foglamps dangling and still it wouldn't come off its socket. SO I think it's pretty safe to assume that an accident didn't cause that.

Either that or it's a prankster who just stole ONE foglamp to add salt to your wound......

LOL! My messed up one was on the driver's side as well! But, finally got my new pair from Steve last week

Stage3 -- Buddy, it sounds like it was stolen. I wouldn't know what to do but check around the area. Do you know of anybody around you or anybody that has seen your car that has a GS as well with a busted fog?

I just pulled the clear fogs off my 98 and put in the yellow ones. So I could sell you one or both of mine for cheap. I have no use for them. Send me a PM if you'd like.

yeah im thinking the same. the only thing is, the socket is gone too and the bulb are both gone. thats the strange part. oh well.

You could buy those screws that use allen wrenches instead of screwdrivers. My plates use those as well. That's the only idea I can come up with that might make it a little more harder for them to steal them.

But seriously, the fact that only one foglight was stolen leads me to believe that it was someone who had only one functional foglight on their GS. The things people do....

Hi Stage3. Yeah it's me. I have your driver's side fog.

Well that sucks, whoever stole it yanked out the plug with it.
Coincidentally, I have the driver's side with the yellow lens. I bought this one a verrry long time ago at a repair shop here that was laying around. I swapped my original clear for a set of fogs from another member here. I haven't put it up on the classifieds yet, but pm if you're still looking for one.

Yeah, I was pretty paranoid when I put in the yellow fogs b/c it seems pretty easy to steal them. I was thinking of glueing or putting some JB welding around the + where the phillips head fit in the screw. Hey, another mod!!!

I might just call steve at carson and order a new set, but im just going to play this by ear. I dont want to shell out the money, but i will if i have to. Let me just tell you, i feel ghetto driving around with one foglight. Luckily my car is black, so you cant really tell. but i can, and thats all that matters. sons of monkey terds...
