Question Possible future owner... GS 400

Hey I have a friend who may buy a GS 400. He doesn't really care about what he drives, but I would like to have him get a GS 400. Could you guys help me find reasons for why he should get a GS 400? Maybe things such as personal experiences with the car. My reasons for him to buy the cars include: V8 300 hp, RWD, 0-60 in 5.8, and it is a Lexus. Well anything would help. Thanks.

You cite the car's power and 0-60 times, but you also say your friend doesn't care that much about what he drives. If that is the case, then why not get the GS300? It has the same looks, the same Lexus quality, a lower price, cheaper insurance, a well-proven and durable engine that is literally as smooth as butter, and (nominally) better mileage to boot. That should suit both you and him at the same time.

I agree with mmarshall, if he isn't a "car guy", he probably doesn't need/want a 300HP V8. Just get a FULLY LOADED GS3.

1) The Lexus dealer service is superior to other luxury brands. Just take him by for a quick tour.

2) Lexus/Toyota has the best reputation for longevity.

Yeah I guess you guys are right. A GS 300 would do him fine. He already has a car that his parents bought for him. It is a 1999 Jeep Cherokee Sport. I know he could get a GS and that is why I am trying to make him get one. Don't think he really will go through with the purchase though. Well atleast I know I did what I could to help someone get a Lexus. Maybe someday he will get one.

I'm not sure if you're a Lexus owner. If so, that's all he will need. Just give him the rundown..I trust the judgement of my friends. (well on some things)

Yeah, just get him into the GS3. He'll need the money he saves for mods anyways.
