Default quick front bumper coverage 4 a short 2hr. road trip?

we r makeing as short 2 hour and change road trip 2 orlando next weekend 4 H.I.N. and wanted 2 know what we could use as protection 4 our front bumpers, we'ew not looking 2 buy any masks or anything like just something simple, so far some suggested seran wrap, and some suggested masking paper with tapeing the sides like the way body shops do, and some said someong about some 3m tape. just need something thats paint and clear coat safe 4 our front bumpers and front portion of hoods... any ideas?

Those blue painter's tape should work pretty well unless something really big hits it.

roughly how expensive does the 3m painters tape cost? so far its 3 cars driveing up and down so we're looking 4 something decent but not 2 expensive since we need it 4 the drive and down, also how much would a roll b able 2 cover? like how many car's front bumpers grill and front part of hoods?

Just take the front bumper cover off and drive without it, and put it back on when you get to your destination.

hey Blue.

Neo is very good at finding archived pics. The one he posted was the pic I took when I picked up my wifes (INDGOGRL) new car up from LA and drove 400 miles back home. No damage at all. You gotta use the painters BLUE tape, no other masking tape works as well for the heat from the engine and the hot Florida sun. A 2 inch wide roll from Home depot costs roughly $5-6. One roll per car going both ways .

This trick is practiced by many show cars and I wouldn't be surprised if you see other cars rolling into HIN doing the same thing.

Good Luck at HIN.

man it's stupidly cheap. i did the same when my gs4 was fully repainted and i drove up 350 miles back home. blue tape all the way and people at gas station asked me wtf was wrong

price? like 3 bucks a roll? i used less than 2 rolls on the Gs

oh, nonon, i need MORE than one roll for ONE trip, so if you wanna do round trip, i say get 4 rolls just to be safe! and taking it off? man, just pull, you will see how easy it is to pull them off, very very easy. they are masking tape, so they are designed to be pretty easy to peel.

Be careful when you tape up the grill and things...since you are driving long make sure enough cool air goes to the engine.

Are you talking about the kind of plastic wrap you get in the kitchen (to wrap refrigerated foods, etc.)? Most likely that wrap will easily melt on the car under the hot Florida sun
