Angry 2 strikes with one blow

of all the luck. yesterday nite, when i came home, i got out of my gs and guess what i saw. freakin door ding on the door. it's on the rear passenger door. to make matters worse, it it dinged with a crease. so i'm like, crap, gotta get paintless dent removal. so i got back in my car to go to a local body shop to get an estimate and guess what happens. freakin check engine light comes on. dangit! i tried pulling the battery but no luck. this totally sucks, and it came 1 day after my 2 year anniversary with my GS.

does anyone know how to pull obd II codes without using a scanner?

On the CEL, did you recently fill up with gas? MANY times this happens its because the gas cap isn't replaced tightly and the sensor detects that and throws the CEL. Check and see if it's on tight... easiest problem.

Go to autozone and they will pull the error codes for you at no charge.

Sorry about the ding though.

Yeah it doesn't take much to get a door ding on the GS. I guess is because they have no side moldings. Could you notice it good or do you have to be in the right angle to see it?

sorry to hear..that sounds like my "GS week". First, the same neighborhood kids scratch my drivers side rear door again, and then I install the white 9led bulbs, and as i'm closing up, the hood release cable starts malfunctioning! i pulled apart the front assembly and lubricated the latch assembly, not it springs back like normal
man, my front end is chipped up, though

it just hurts to see this happen to a car you love so much and take good care of. =(

so autozone will actually pull codes for free? wow, that is cool.
