Default Question about ground clearance after 20's and L-tuned springs (1" drop).

Doing simple math in my head, is it about accurate to say that my GS with the stock 17's will have about the same ground clearance when it's on 20's w/ a 1" drop?

figure the 20's add 3 inches of clearance, but I'll be running small series tires than stock. Add that to the additional 1" of drop and it should all about even out?

Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

That's about right. The L-Tuned will actually drop a little more than 1" in the front but then the 20s with 35 or 30 series tires (depending on what width your rims are) will have a bigger outside diameter than stock. You will probably have slightly less clearance but not by much.

Thanks for the reply.

Also, per your comment, the L-tuned springs drop the front more than they drop the rear?

If I remember right, the front drops about 1.25" and the rear is just about 1".

What do you mean by normal? clearance? If you are running 245/35/19, then you are at stock wheel size so your clearance should be the same as stock. Looks-wise, you should drop it though or else it will look SUV-like. As for max, what are you looking to do? You can tuck it if you want but it will take the right coilovers and potential body work. Also, what are your wheel widths? offsets?
