Lexus door locks acuators are Garbage!
Man Lexus should fix all the dooor lock actuators for free. My driver side door went out about 2 monthes ago . I was unlocking the door with my keypad and it wouldnt unlock. I had to use the key from now on. Today I was removing the wood dash kit so I can get something else nicer and I notice my front passenger door is doing this. I know this is brought up alot buut it really sucks. I ignored the driver door but I cant deal with 2 not unlocking doors. Lexus should call every dealer so when a GS owner comes in for a routine mantience they will replace the crappy accuators. Its been almost exactly a 1 year since I had my Lexus and I love it. The only problem its given me other than the modding bug is this. Thats $700.00 i can spend on some mods.

I started a thread a while back to see if there was intrest on a GB on these items. My passenger side has been dead in the water for while, for reference, the part was 189 plus shipping from Carson.
Is it time to revive that GB thread?

I had the same problem for the past 6 months, finally I decided to call Lexus HQ and make a stink about it. I told the cust service rep how many people I know with the GS have been experiencing this problem and they should recall the part. They asked if I had spoken to my local Lexus service I told them I did. They contacted them and 4 days later my local shop called me to verify the problem. A day after that Lexus HQ called me and told me that the local shop is going to take care of the problem by replacing the actuator at no charge.
I told my coworker who had the same problem and he got the same result from complaining. Just thought you guys might want to try that route before shelling out the $200+ for the actuator.
I think the number is 800 25 LEXUS.

On your guys, it is just the lock actuators?
I just dropped my LS off due to a weird actuator problem. The actuator will unlock all the door numerous times in succession and while doing this, it will wind the driver window down. This only happens when I pull the key from the ignition and use the master unlock switch. I dunno how the GS is, on my LS, the driver window can be opend closed form the outside key cylinder too.
Lexus called me back saying it was the driver door key cylinder that was at fault. To replace it it is $477. I don't use my remotes and I wonder if opening the door mechanically caused this part to wear/fail. This repair hurts.
