OEM spoiler and trunk tension
I know this topic has been discussed many times but I never got the answer I wanted.
After installing the OEM type spoiler, the trunk tends to slam down easily even after adjusting the tension.
Steve at Carsons told me he has the stiffer replacement bar, and now I'm amazed how nice the trunk works. It works better than before I installed the spoiler with the original bar.
At first the bar seemed identical except that it's black, but it actually is thicker and a lot stiffer.
Now, even with the spoiler the trunk pops open half way, and will open all the way with a light touch. Adjusting the bar location now really makes a difference, too. The trunk will open at varying degree based on how you adjust.
