Here are some after pics of the Tom's mirrors.

The left is a closeup of front so you can see the light unit. The right is fromthe back so you can see how the cover is really a cover. It is not as clean as a retro but it's nice enough.

A shot of both from the front. You can see a little gap where the mirror pivots. This is not the "bad" gap. The cover is still flushed with the mirror here.

Here is a shot from the top. As you can see, they are both also flushed. I'm sorry I did not take a pic of the unmodified cover but on the driver side, instead of being flushed with the mirror as it is here, it will overhang the mirror. As a result, from inside the car, you will see the cover hang over the mirror on the side towards the door. As part of this fix, you also see that slanted line on the door side of the cover is pretty much the same here. With the original hanging over, the shape of the two covers are not the same so the look is not uniform.

very nice neo. for some reason i just have a feeling the covers make the mirror looks a lot bigger. maybe one day...

oh and just wondering, the mirror doesn't induce a lot more wind noise when driving highway does it

Well, it has to be slightly bigger so it can account for the light and wiring. I've gotten used to it and it looks fine to me now. As for noise, I don't notice any more than usual.

Neo, thanks for posting up those pics. I have always wanted to see close up pics of these covers but could never get anyone else to take pics and post them up!

I think modifying the OEM GS mirror cover to accomodate the 2004 E-Class turn signals would be a cleaner install (not taking into account the cost of course).
