Advice on Buying 1999+ GS300
Hi Everyone:
I'm afraid I'm from "the dark side of the force" - I drive a 1998 BMW 540iA. However, I find myself in need of your counsel. My wife will be turning 40 in August, and I want to get her her dream car as a gift. She wants a GS300. I'm looking at a 1999 or later year model car. Is there any such thing as a "good" or "bad" year? Any known defects to watch out for? Any options to be sure to get or stay away from? What is the maximum mileage I should consider on one of these cars if I go "used" - any high-cost service or maintenance items to consider?
Thanks in advance for your advice. These really are nice cars. We test drove some in the past, but couldn't afford to get in at the time. It would be nice to get one in the stable!

All years are good. Milage isnt an isue w/ Lexus. I know people w/ 200k+ and not had 1 problem.
Its all about how well the owner took care of it.
I would try to get a certified car if possible.
