Default How to unlock all doors with one remote click?

Hi, I know that in the owner's manual it's referred to as a "dealer programmable option", is that the only way for me to get all the doors to unlock with one click of the remote transponder? Also, I would like all the doors to unlock when I turn off the car... same answer, go to the dealer?

Thanks for your help.

to unlock all doors with one click, yes go to dealer that's your only option.

to unlock all doors when turning off the car, can you do that at all?!

The closest would be unlock when shifting to park or when opening driver's door. See section 2. Attached is all your options. Just print this up and mark what you want and hand it to the dealer. Don't be surprised if the dealer didn't know all these options existed.

Thx. Rom, but do you have a PDF for the earlier years, not necessarily just for unlocking, but I would like to know what's available.

I have not come across a list for the 98-00. If someone can confirm this for all of us.

I have a 98 GS4, and the locking/unlocking options are the same. They can set it to unlock the doors when you put the car in park and/or when you open the driver's side door (actually, I think those two might come together as a package). I asked them to set it up that way, but then I changed it back to the default. The reason I wanted it set up that way originally was because I wanted the doors to lock when I put the car in drive. You can have it do that, but you also have to have the automatic unlocking as well. I found that there were times when I didn't want ALL of the doors to unlock when I put it in park or when I opened the driver's side door. I have 2 small kids, and when they're in the car, I definitely don't want the back doors unlocking (not because they can get out -- they can't because I've turned the child locks on). I don't want anyone opening the doors from the outside. I know, it's a little paranoid, but better safe than sorry.

Sorry, another question, how difficult is it for the dealer to configure the C-best settings? I called, and the service rep. suggested that I make an appointment. If it's something that can be done quickly, I might just stop by Longo today and try my luck.
