What is the best clear bumper lights to buy...especially if you are buying from ebay?

 

imho they are all the same, nothing too good or bad about them. i would just go with cheaper ones...

 

Yea, find the cheapest pair because they kill ya on shipping. I bought some for $9 and think I paid $13 or so for the shipping.

 

I will be honest, I bout some for abotu the same price, about $13, and they lasted a month before they started getting condensation in them. I ended up ordering some from Steve at Carson. I paid a little more, but it is real Toyota parts and no leaks. Very quality stuff as always. I believe I paid $23 total back then, a GB.

Can you tell me which car did these clear light come from that they are Toyota parts? I don' t think Toyota makes it for US cars and the JDM ones have a different light (not side markers).

 

I'd rather get the better one...I don't mind paying $23. I thought Toyota didn't make this part...?

 

I bought mine off ebay and they started having condensation buildup right away. So I took some clear caulk and put a thin layer where the lens meets the plastic and then I had no more condensation problems. I didnt use too much because I didnt want it to be visible.

I know I bought these from the Carson. I can't find the info for the GB anywhere.
It may have been off the LOC site, but I really thought it was from CL.
I will have to get the part number and post it but I know they say Toyota on the back and came with abmer bulbs.

toyota parts?! i don't know of one toyota vehicle using clear side markers. they are all illegal?

 

yep..these clear side markers are illegal...even if you got amber bulbs in there. I know someone who got tickets for them.

 

I bought mine clear corners from Lextasy. Steve guaranteed me they will never get condesation or new ones free he charged me $30plus shipping. Condensation Immediately , Steve had no answer for me and would not replace them........... I guess I'll buy new ones from Gordon at Carson

 

It might be LOC because I don't remember such a GB here on CL.

Disclaimer: My memory is getting bad though so just because I don't remember it, it does not mean it did not happen.

I got cheap Ebay models. Seems like I vaguely remember somebody saying something about a RAV4 having clear side markers but I never saw any confirmation, but I doubt it since I think they're illegal too. Maybe they're JDM and legal there or something? Anyway, the condensation doesn't bother me much. Can't really see it on white unless you put your nose on it looking. Now if it shorts out my LEDs or something, THEN I'll be pissed....lol

 

Can somone find more info about this? Do they have JDM clear markers?

If not go with e-bay el-cheapos?
