Default Gs430,gs300, Is300??

I have a dillema between buying a GS 430, gs300 or IS 300, what is the average milage on these cars from your experience. is the maintance cheaper or higher on either of them? what would you recommed? anything in particular i should look for when buying the car? Any other info would be greatly appreciated.

What year are you looking for? I would get a car with low miles, like under 30k and if it isnt lexus certified have it checked out at your nearest lexus dealership. The GS430 is going to have more power than the GS3 so that is something you need to consider. If you dont need that extra power then you might just go with the GS3 and save some $. Just my .02

well i don't mind the extra power, the year I am looking for is 2001 with up to 40,000 miles, i have seen one for $26,000, is that a good deal or bad? how much am i looking to spend?
whats the difference with gas mileage between gs300.430 and is300???

Was it a GS430? That seems like a very good price, unless there is something wrong with it. If you do a search on autotrader and put in the specifics you want and search all over the country there is a ton of cars out there so you can see what the average price is. The IS can be had for a very reasonable price. I have seen quite a few clean ones at my lexus dealer and they were all great prices. But to me the IS was too small, and the GS was perfect. It all depends on what you want the car for and what your plans are.

i wanted an is300 but ended up with a gs300.
i still enjoy driving an is300.
gs300 is a lot more roomy so it "looks" better investment spent, at least to my family.

430 has no e-shift right....?

get a 400...its 1/4 mile time is faster than the 430 also right?
(i know that doesnt make sense, but thats what i've heard)

I love my 400....

Go the dealer and drive them all. Heck, that's the best part of shopping for a new car. I found the IS too small, and after experiencing the power of the GS430, there was no going back to the GS300. The gas mileage between the two is fairly similar, and I couldn't comment on repairs because I've only had the GS430 for less than two months. Equipment level on both GS models is nearly identical. I don't think that you can go wrong on either GS model.

yes 430 has no e-shift, people suspect that's to meet the ULEV spec

well, from all the data/stories i heard, 400 and 430 are equal fast. 430 has a bit more power but the car is heavier

yeah the mileage is another good point. the i6 and the v8 use the same amount of gas, so don't think the 300 is going to save money any money
