Very nice LXO, this is an excellent item for this community. One of the things keeping me away from remote start was tons of wires and horror stories, not to mention extra crap on my already crowded key ring.

Keep us informed!

Adrian, go to the dealership and have a valet key cut. Should only be about $40 or so. You can also give up one of your master keys but I don't recommend that....

I believe you just need the transponder and not the actual key. The transponder would be what's need to electronically start the car without the key. Get it used off of Ebay for $10-20, cut the blade off and program the car to accept it.

Thanks for answering my questions. My only suggestion would be to figure out a way to cancel the start by remote. I have a Viper remote start on my Jeep and occasionally plans change when I remote start it and I end up shutting it off from a window. Knowing this I would hate to have to walk out to the car in flip flops or just let it run the full 15 minutes (is this adjustable?) before it shut itself off.

Default Remote range

the only issue I have before I pull the trigger is range.
My stock master key range is very poor. Even with a new battery, I need to be within 5-10 feet to unlock the doors.

Is my key bad, will the starter have better range, or will I just have to deal with it?

same here, somehow the range of my keys are pretty bad, both of them. got the car checked out and it's fine... no idea... my is3 is like ridiculously far away...

Good find.

Can't wait to see this device on cars. What's stage 2 offers extra when compares with stage 1?

Default Update....

Guys, I just received an email from Jacen from Luxury Motor Works. Here is a direct quote from him regarding the keys...

"If people don’t want to give up one of their OE keys, we have keys for sale here at the shop. We usually program them and place them in the immobilizer bypass kit “uncut”. This would eliminate one more “concern” that people have."

As of right now, hopefully we will be able to set up a meeting this Sat. If everything goes well, I will keep everyone posted about group buy info. Thanks
