Update photos: HRE GS 400
I dumped the car a bit more for the recent Hot Import Daze show- the H&R coilovers work great for this.
The front can go down 1" (25mm) more, but the rear can only go down about 1/4" (6mm) more than you see here. This is as low as I plan to drop the car, so it's not an issue.
I also had Backyard Creations in Temple City re-spray the front bumper. Recently, when I had the windows re-tinted, the tint guy did me the favor of driving the front bumper into the curb in front of the office and cracking it. It was getting pretty rock-chipped anyway... this time I am getting StoneGuard installed!
Joe @ Backyard (backyardcreationsusa@comcast.net) did the original body kit work (also painted my brother's AE86 Corola and is painting my AW11 MR2), and I don't trust anybody else to touch any of my cars. He said he could fix the bumper, and that he was going to do a bit of carbon fiber work on the front bumper. I wasn't sure what he meant by this, but the guy is a true artist, so I trust him.
While Backyard was painting the bumper, the car was taken to Osorio's upholstery [(626) 454-3676] and charcoal suede inserts were installed in the OE seats. The color was chosen to match the darker grey portions of the dash and doors. Jose did comment that the Lexus seats had terrific stiching and it was one of the most difficult installations he has ever done- a testament to Lexus' quality.
Joe and I reinstalled the front bumper on July 5th (on a holiday- what a guy!)- he had also replaced the mesh with a version that matches the TRD Japan grille. I love the way the carbon came out. That's real carbon fiber in there- he smoothed it all in and repainted and clearcoated the whole bumper. The presentation is so smooth you cannot feel the carbon fiber, but you can see the 'dimensionality' of the real carbon material in the sunlight. Needless to say, I am very pleased with the results!
At this point, I'd say the car is finally about 75% finished- next on the hit-list is audio/video. Coming soon....
Regards,
Bob

A few guys have asked for better shots of the interior- here you go...
The interior looks sort of blue at times due to the light blue tint I now have on the car.
I had Jose "gather" the suede to mimic the stock look of the seats.

Thanks guys! Wow, no flames (yet)- not bad for a Monday!
Here's another shot of the "Corporate GSs" at the show on Saturday.
I don't know how many of you have met John in person, but he is a great guy and a genuine Lexus aficionado.
I thought my car was pretty low... it looks like a 4x4 next to John's JP GS!! (but my brakes are bigger )
Shameless plug: you should all buy more Junction Produce parts.
