Miguel,
though my japanese reading ability is limited, my understanding of the kuwagata rim is that the mfg process makes it extremely difficult for copy-cats. during the same time this model was introduced at the tokyo auto salon last year, there are other several new wheels been introduced that have fakes already. for example, the yoko model5 twin spoke, and the bridge zeit ss.
therefore, my assumption and conclusion is that copy-caters took a look at the kuwagatas and decided not to make fake ones for 2 reasons: cost and popularity. the cost may be high and they are afraid not too many people would like the designs. if you were to look at the design of such wheel, i assume greater strength and quality control must be implemented in the process for safety reason.
the bottom line, the kuwagatas, are light enough for me, very, very rare, reasonable price(for forged), and i like them because they are the high end RAAAYs wheels

gs4will, great info on the kuwagatas. You're right, copying such a slender wheel in cast aluminum wouldn't pass any quality standard. Are you getting them soon? Be sure to post some pics!
Manaray, thanks for the compliment.

gs430on dubz, the people at DAZZ told me there will be a 1-2 month wait for the Lowenhart BR5 20x10. That's ridiculous. They suggested I go with he 20x9 all around. Now, I really wanted to have a nice lip on my 20x10 that's why I'm really hesitating. How's the lip on the 9.0's ? Is there going to be noticeable difference in the lip between the 9 and 10's? ANy comments/suggestions are greatly appreciated.....Thanks.

checking my memory.....Think mine are 8.5 front (photo) and 9.5 rear. I was in same position on waiting for the 10's and decided not to....The lip is obviously larger in the rear. I don't think a larger one would look better????

Even your FRONT lip looks big on those wheels, so what's the offsets?
