How many miles on your GS4?
My 99 GS4 is approaching 5 years old with ~58k miles on the OD. It's paid-off and I'm now considering selling and picking-up something new (the new SLK55 AMG looks sweet!).
I've never had a car longer than 5 years and am wondering if I decide to keep the GS if it will remain reliable say another few years. It runs perfectly now.
What has your experience been with 'older', 'higher-mileage' GSes?

74K and no problems on my 98. Added a supercharger so if anything's weak, it should break.
I haven't read a lot of problems from owners with higher mileage. Just keep up the regular maintenance.
SLK55AMG is also a very nice vehicle (nose design isn't my style) but totally different than the GS!

I like the MB SL500. If you are looking for reliability of a lexus, I'd stay away from MB. Their cars a long time ago were built like tanks, but it has gone down over the years. My neighors have MB and BMW's , although they are nice looking cars, they are at the shop quite a bit. I am willing to bet that the new SLK will break down first compared to your 5 year old GS.
