Dude, you should have never swerved to avoid the potholes anyway. Your car spinning out of control was bad enough, but it would have been worse if it ended up into a big accident involving your life and other people lives. ALL THIS just to avoid a freakin' pothole.

I understand that you are pissed about this, but it could have been MUCH worse. I am really glad you are ok and there's no more damage to your car than the wheel. Remember, money lost can be made again, life lost is forever gone. Please please be more careful next time.

Sorry to hear about your wheel man.

You should know that if you file a claim with the state, that they have certain guidelines as far as damage goes. They will check to see if anyone else has ever filed a claim for that same area. If you are the first, then unfortunately, you will not be compensated. Hopefully someone has filed for that area before you. Good luck and like everyone else has said, it could have been way worse, and I am glad that it wasn't.

yea, now that i really think about it, it could have been alot worse for me and other drivers on the road that night. i guess he dosen't need me up there yet. i did call the city of sf today i left a msg. and will be calling back tommorrow. i will try calling cal trans as well just to see what they say about this.

dude, sorry to hear about that...hope things go well...let me know what wheel repair place you use and how well they did. my wife curbed two of her back wheels badly and they need to be fixed eventually

Hey Dee where about on south bound did you hit this? I drive this strip everyday from San Mateo to San Jose. Damn really thinking twice about 19's or 20's now.

to make it safe, i always drive on the second fast lane either south of north bound. the fast lane is just stupid if you ask me, too uneven and bumpy, and never know what kind of surprises they got... specially around the 85 and redwood city area
