In my previous post, I asked some opinions in getting a used GS and I guess I'd like to jump ahead on the following questions:

1. how difficult to find a GS300 (00-01) with Nav and HID in general?

2. anyone know a great dealer or place to buy a GS in Atlanta, GA?

Answering question no.1:
Yes, it is rare.. My fellow CL friend and I have been looking for GS3 /w nav for these two months and only found 2-3 of them.. So, it's rare, but it exists outhere

But they are there. I found a perfect 2001 that a gentleman was selling due to returning to school and not wanting to afford it. He had installed a DVD player and TV tuner already. I was stoked. Since I purchased it I have installed headrest monitors and a Xbox game hook up with AC power and switchers from front seat to the back seats. Now I have the perfect Vegas/beach/road trip vehicle. Keep checking around. One will pop up.

for 00 it's even rarer i think. since 01 (debut of gs430), nav got a lot more common and A LOT more gs430 started to have nav. that also pushed more gs300 to have nav as well

It's not easy to find a GS3 or GS4 with Nav and Hid's, only a small percentage of them were imported with both but they do exist, if that's what you want just be patient.

I don't think so Rom, cost was probably a factor especially 01+ , I believe the package that included Nav and Mark Levinson adds 5-6K to the sticker, dealers don't order too many with the huge stickers on them.

I have a 2000 GS300 with NAV and HID.

When I bought my car in November of 99, Longo Lexus only had 1 silver/black GS300 with NAV/HID package in stock, and the next one was scheduled to come 3 months later.

I didn't know they're rare tho. Just thought they sell quick.

I have a 98 with both options but mine is a euro spec and they are not really rare here with both options.

When I got my '04 w/ Nav/Lev, Johnson had 2 of 5 or 6 with both. Flow had 0, and I don't think Hendrick had any either. In terms of used, there wasn't one in NC at a dealership. Flow and Hendrick told me they didn't order them and wouldn't take one unless they had to because they're hard to sell. Of course Johnson tried to tell me opposite, that they're hard to get, which I ignored. Either way I think they are pretty rare.

04GS300

IIRC pre-DVD is HD based, not CD. I'll let others speak on the differences because I don't know other than HD is a 4:3 screen and DVD is a 16:9 screen
