purple haze
I saw a purple GS...first one I ever saw. I walked around inspecting it carefully. If it wasn't a factory paint job it was darn close. I could see no glitches, no orange peel, no runs, nothing. My question...did Lexus produce a purple GS or is this aftermarket? I tried waiting but the owner was not coming back too soon. I know the car doesn't belong to anyone here. The wheels were 20 in chrome pie plate looking wheels. Ghetto-ish imo. The paint was great though. So nice it did a color change depending on angle of the light. Looked black from some angles. Has to be factory.

closest thing 2 purple that lexus had done is black cherry which does change color a little depending on the sun and angle...there r some really good shops down here so its probably a custom paint job....

they make paints that are pretty expensive that do change color when you change viewing angle. I forget the technical name for them but I'm sure someone on here knows

Here's a link from the PPG website: "“The use of new effect pigments and various sizes of metallic and aluminum flakes will give colors a sense of visual texture and depth,” said Jerry R. Koenigsmark, manager of color design, North America, automotive coatings for PPG. “We also expect that hue-shifting colors – which appear to change in hue when viewed at different angles – will gain acceptance in subtle versions within the natural and neutral color families.”
