moonroof doesn't close

moonroof doesn't close
anyone knows why my moonroof won't close completely. it can open and close, but when it closes it opens again another 5 inches then stops. it just started happening. anyone have any ideas.

Not exactly sure, but it sounds like something is going on with the sensor that detects anything in the way while it's closing. When that happens, it 'bounces back' open. Maybe something is blocking the sensor or causing drag on your moonroof when it closes such that it sets off the re-open.

Do a search. This problem seems to come up every 3-4 months and the answers are always the same. I don't remember the solution or I'd tell you but I do know it's been discussed extensively.

I've done a search but the problem I'm seeing is everyones is making noise....mine just doesn't close...like as if something is in the way of it from closing...is there an actual sensor?? where is it....is this strictlya dealer fix only????
