FINALLY
These last few weeks Ive been dealing with XERD to try to get a the header/midpipe combo for our GS3s. I took one for the team and gambled. I sent XERD a money order for $570 and waited....and waited.... and waited. These guys are hard to get ahold of and it took me over a week just to get my tracking # (actualy didnt get the # until the day my shipment arrived) FINALLY: a package arrived. So with an ear-to-ear grin, I opened the box. SWEET lookin stainless header and SWEET lookin midpipe. Did some more digging and NO O2 SIM! O well, Contacted them by phone and i was told the manager (or whoever) was out of town when my parts were shipped and whoever shipped them messed up. No biggie, they'll send me a new one and ill just have to deal with the CEL for a while. Header install was a snap. Go to install the racepipe and.....uhh.......wouldnt ya know it.... THEY SENT ME AN IS300 PIPE! NOW i was PIS$ED! With the header on i throw my stock midpipe on. WOW GREAT SOUND and id like to think better performance but i cant tell if it is faster/quicker/more responsive or if my ears are telling me it is. (my buddy who has a stock 99 GS3 SWEARS my setup would smoke him) ANYWAY i ship the pipe back (they say {still waiting} they will refund part $270 and shipping $10) Turns out they are out of the GS midpipe and it is on backorder from their manufacturer. SO I SAID screw it. I went on EBAY and 'buy it now'ed a MEGAN RACING midpipe. Just received it today and the fit and finish and quality seems to be good....especially for $90 shipped (yea, i know it sounds cheap) Anyway, overall, the combo IS awesome. It is louder, but not like a race-riced out prelude,,,,so im glad i made a couple vids so you can all hear it for yourself. ANY QUESTIONS call me (mike) at (402)960-4041

Looks like a nice job! It is a little louder than I would want but it does sound sporty! Do they make any for the GS400?

either you're a pro at the wheel or got ***** of steel but anyways nice moves in the gs and yea your car do sound a lil bit sporty. what size down piping you have? i wish they made header for my 430 baby

 

.....i really dont know if i can FEEL the difference because it SOUNDS so much different. Id like to think it feels more powerful and responsive....but who know.....the dyno will tell the whole story. And i think the piping at all of the inlets is 2.5 inches and ranges to 3.5 inches at the larger parts of the pipe
