Is the lense for the halogen headlight on a 98 GS400 the same as the HID lense and reflector?

So in other words if I put an aftermarket HID kit in there will the beam be scatered and blurry or will it be focused like the stock setup?

the lens (glass) are the same, but the reflectors of the two aren't the same. you can't even fit the hid setup on the halogen housing

Does the aftermarket kis beam patternt look different than the stock setup then?

The stock probably has a more focused beam?

yes, it's different. the stock oem setup has a better cut off light pattern. i had the kits and now oem hid headlights, so i can totally tell
