I'm a man of faith, so I believe Blue can do it! ![Smilie](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
But, how exactly is it going to be done? He never stated his idea...unless he wants to keep it secret. I love the anticipation!

couple of us have done extensive discussion and inspection on the jp taillights (including people who know about fabricating). the parts are definitely directly from the toyota factory. the amber piece is physically cut out of the taillight lens, and then a same size clear piece is glue in. every piece is very labor intensive i suppose coz' i was able to see difference in every setup.
also, the lens are cut and glued BEFORE they were put together with the back piece. meaning that jp has access to the raw material.

exactly rom. jp gets the lights in 2 pieces they do the work and then they r glued 2gether 4 the 1st time, thats why its so clean. with getting the oem lights u r going 2 have 2 take them apart and thats where the problems start with messiness and quality. also laser cutting has 2 b perfect so no marks r left. its a tough job. not impossible but very hard. plus the key is haveing a clear part already made 2 just slide in as a replacement. the amber is part of the lens not an added piece on top of the lens that can b removed or cut out. after getting them and inspecting them 4 a while i couldn't believe how close 2 perfect they get it . u can c where the laser made its cuts but its crazy how smooth that area is and how close 2 oem it looks. i do understand why they ask 4 so much money and remember they don't make much money on these lights as it is. i wish u good luck. and am glad u have old broken tails 2 play and experiment on.
