There are plenty of gas stations and these are well documented.

Also, running out of gas is also very dangerous if you are driving fast ....
I was surprised how at the lack of gas stations in Germany, the last one before the Dutch border was like 100 km away from the border. So I just drove by it thinking there would be another one.
No cheap gas for me

Congestion on the autobahns is high (that's why Richie could only try this on Sunday), and due the lesser economic conditions, less tax money can be spent on the highway maintenance.

Especially after the summer holidays, lots of highways need to be repaired, causing lots of jams (and regulating the speed limit to less than 80mph).

Also, just ask Richie how much his test costs in terms of gasoline ... no more car heaven in Germany
Yeah, best time to try something like this is early on a sunday morning, most of the sunday the autobahn is off limit for truck drivers which makes a big difference.

On the autobahn I encountered about 10 road works. You have to slow down to 80 or 60km/h so that is a big difference if you are traveling 2 or 3 times that speed.

The gas bill was 2 full tanks of gas, so 2x $70

Sounds like fun Richie, I have been on a tour bus on the Autobahns, but never driven myself. Our bus were going at a pretty good speed, but we have these cars & bikes whizzing past us as if we were stationary. I must drive the autobahns someday.

Nice pics!! You are a lucky man.

I would never have believed GS3 capable of doing 150mph until I saw this picture.

Does Euro Spec GS3 have more HPs then US Spec? Is your car modded?

LOL, thanks man.
I didn't think it would go this high either, and it was still gaining speed when I had to slow down.

My GS300 has 227hp I have no clue what the HP is on the US spec.
My car is modded.......did you mis my thread about the white blinkers??

Blackened, just come over and rent some high power car in Germany!!!

Nice stuff man, it's good to see an enthusiast use a car's potential.

I routinely break 140mph on my commute to work

GADZOOKS, that's movin'!!
hey RICHIE, you said you'd like to firm up the suspension, and i KNOW you've already
done so much to it (lol!!), i was just wondering if anyone knew if the the US suspension
is any diff from the Euro version?
my bro in-law just returned from Germany and he said the autobahn's lanes were
wider and definitely more smooth than the US roads so i can just imagine what my
car would do on a clear stretch of even pavement.
