Default GS300 questions

I've previously owned an IS300.
Now I longing to go back to Lexus as the car I have now is rather basic.

I've found a couple GS300 in the area. Most of them 2000 or 2001.
Their milage ranges from 42k all th way up to 80k.

How reliable would a 60k GS300 be if it had all the maintance done at the dealer - and everything looked / checked out okay? Is it possible for a GS300 be it '00 or '01 to hit 160k without hitch?

A 60k GS having all dealer work is more reliable than most new cars sold.
160k is a walk in the park for a Lexus. The GS 300 has a newer version of the 2JZ engine, which is for all intents and purposes, indestructable under daily conditions. This is the same engine powering the Supra and 1,000hp versions of it.

I agree. Lexus cars and especially their Toyota built motors are virtually indestructable. Feel safe driving a Lexus, high mileage or not. Jason
