Oh no a Volkswagen! Buy another 50-60k car or pay cash for my house next year... Tough one.

As for the stay away from Jettas: I've had them in the past and my g/f has an 03 now herself. Nothing but good things to say.

if the $50k will buy you a house...go for it....won't even come close around here, besides maybe covering the down payment.

who buys a car for cash anyway these days??

VW's are stil garbage, just as Hyundais are. There is a reason they have no resale value and horrible repair records. There is something wrong with a "german engineered" car being built in Mexico

obviously missing the point entirely...

50 won't buy a house, but it will buy SOME of a house. And I don't like financing, so what?
