Default Black Chrome Teaser Pic - Gettin ready for EOS

Well I thought it was time for a lil facelift just in time for the EOS meet. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...hreadid=129221

Here's just a few of the pieces that I had black chromed.

A lot cheaper than buying Sport Design Headlights.

The rear trunk bar was a chromie special from Rominl, now converted to black chrome.

The cool thing was I could pick how dark I actually wanted the chrome.

This would probably look good if you had the stock rear emblems black chromed as well.

These parts still need to get buffed out, but you get the idea.

A few more mods still to come.

Stay Tuned

Yeah well I got tired of the chrome on Silver look. Not the nice contrast that you get with black cars or your deep blue.

I tried to have the chrome dark enough to have a contrast , but light enough to not look too sporty / mean looking.

We'll see how it looks when I can install them and post before & after shots.

Of course there will be some other changes too.

John,
I'd be curious to see what a silver JP car would look like.

With all Black chrome accents, including door handles.

Hmmmmm . . .

Anyone wanna Photochop that?

Glen, any idea how the black chrome will effect the HID output? Since our housings are reflective, wouldn't the black chrome dim the look of the HID. Just curious...

Well the reflector of the HID is still chrome. That's the part you don't see in the photo. I'll bet with all the black around it, that it will reflect and look black as well, however the light output should not be affected.

BTW, the amber turn signals get cleared out by default.

well i have seen is300 with blackout housing and the back part was still chrome, you will see it's still chrome, it's still noticeable.

of the is300 people who blacked out the housing, they said that it's a bit dimmer, but not dramatic. and i don't expect too much of a change too
