How much would you pay for a 1998 GS400 with 59K?
I am thinking about getting a 1998 GS400 with 59K on it, but am trying to get a good feel for how much I should pay for it. The dealer has it listed for around $22.5K, but i dont think I should pay that much.
On a side note, im considering maybe getting a new GS300 with less miles for the same price.
What would you guys pay? And would you buy a newer GS3 or older GS4?
Thanks so much for everyones help.

i've seen one for 18000k with navi, but the car had 80k miles i belive
i think u have pretty good price, obviously i think the dealer isn't ripping u offf too much
if u look around the forum, i'm pretty sure there is ppl who could get cars from wholesalers

Test drive both. I suggest you drive it, and determine if the the GS400 has the flat spot when you accelerate. It will be obvious if it has it, if it does do not buy the car. Also 98 was the first year, they have more rattles and noises than later years. I would personally go for an 01 GS300 for the same price you qouted the 98 gs400. The new 2006 are comming out, that will knock the value down substantially.

If you wan't something that is quiet, pulls hard and smokes modded GS300 with ease then buy a STOCK GS400 or 430. A dealer around here right now has a 2000 GS400 Platinum white with 36k miles for $26500. I have driven it.
The V8 is way faster and still smooth. I drove 6 GS300s before buying my 430. I only drove one 430. You get the idea.

my advice to u, i if u find a car that drives good, the color u desire, pick it up, even if it does cost a grand or two more than another, get the one and u will not regret anything, so drive the four and then the three, pick the one that fits your needs.

I got a smokin deal off a rich lady a few months ago. $27000 for a 2001 GS430 with 22000miles. Dark Pine Green(looks black) with Ivory interior. Still under bumper to bumper till April 05.
